Dickson Records is an independent organization dedicated to the development, documentation, and construction of artistic projects.
Dickson emerged around artists who were already creating things on their own. Not to manufacture identities or turn them into a predetermined version of what an artist should be, but to build the structure they need around them so their projects can grow without losing what made them interesting in the first place.
Our role changes depending on each entity. We may intervene in strategy, production, communication, shows, releases, identity, or development; but the principle remains: observe before intervening, develop without compromising their nature, and document what deserves to remain.
Within Dickson, artists are Entities. Their stories become Files. Shows are Operations. Releases and moments that move from the internal archive into public view are Declassified.
